The big picture

Built around the way you sell.

Delivery coverage rarely follows one simple rule for every customer. HEYA combines store-level market coverage with shipping-method configuration and the Shipping Method By State & City app. The app can show or hide methods according to country, state, or city, while each method has its own display name, delivery promise, fallback price, and surcharge controls. These layers help you describe both where you sell and how you deliver.

A closer look

Zone-based shipping, in detail.

01

Separate store coverage from method availability

Market Settings lets you define country coverage for accepting orders. The location-based shipping app adds another level by controlling which shipping methods appear for particular destinations. Use the distinction deliberately: accepting an order from a country does not necessarily mean every delivery service should be offered to every address within it.

02

Explain the delivery service clearly

Shipping-method settings include a customer-facing display name and delivery promise, with a language context for the wording. Describe the service in terms the customer can understand, such as a standard delivery expectation or an express commitment. The promise should match the geographic rules and the operational service behind that method.

03

Keep charges and free-shipping rules aligned

A method can have a fallback shipping price, an additional surcharge, and an option to disable inherited free-shipping rules. Purchase Settings separately provides free-delivery thresholds and a calculation scope. Review those settings together so the final delivery charge follows the intended policy, including methods that should retain their own rates even when the basket qualifies for a general offer.

In practice · illustrative scenario

Local express, broader standard delivery

A retailer can reserve an express service for the cities its team can reach reliably, while offering standard delivery over a wider area. Location rules help present the suitable method, and the delivery promise explains the service the customer is choosing.

Good to know

A little more clarity.

Can methods vary by city?

Yes. Shipping Method By State & City is described as showing or hiding shipping methods according to country, state, or city.

Can one method ignore a store-wide free-delivery offer?

Shipping settings include Disable Free Shipping for a method. When enabled, the method uses its own rates rather than inheriting the store’s free-shipping rules. Review that setting alongside the store’s threshold and calculation scope.
