Coupons & scheduled discounts · 3min read

The big picture

Built around the way you sell.

A promotion works best when the team can explain who it is for, what it applies to, and why it exists. HEYA provides separate Coupons, Discounts, and Scheduled discount modules, keeping these different mechanics visible in the backend. Reporting also includes voucher usage and discount profitability views. That gives your team a place to manage the offer and a way to review what happened after customers used it.

A closer look

Coupons & scheduled discounts, in detail.

01

Define exactly what the coupon applies to

Create a coupon code for a selected store and choose its type, audience, and discount scope. The form includes percentage and flat-value discount fields, a discount currency, and collection selection. Audience and user controls help define who receives the offer. Keep the advertised benefit aligned with these settings so customers understand which products qualify and how the discount will affect their basket.

02

Control timing, usage, and shipping benefits

Set a start date and time, an expiry date and time, a maximum total usage, and a maximum usage per customer. Coupons also expose a free-shipping option and a shipping-cost limit for that benefit. These controls let a campaign have a defined window and budget boundary. Use Scheduled discount for the separate time-based discount workflow, and coordinate storefront banners with the dates configured for the offer.

03

Measure the cost as well as the activity

The report catalog includes Vouchers Usage and Discount & Voucher Profitability. The latter describes voucher revenue, discount cost, order-value uplift, repeat usage, and affected product volume. Use these perspectives to review the promotion’s commercial contribution, rather than treating a high redemption count as the only measure of success.

In practice · illustrative scenario

A launch offer with a measurable purpose

A retailer introducing a new collection can prepare a clearly described coupon campaign, connect it to the collection’s content, and test the resulting basket. After launch, voucher usage and profitability reporting help the team understand how often the offer was used and what that activity cost.

Good to know

A little more clarity.

Are coupons and scheduled discounts the same thing?

No. HEYA exposes separate modules for Coupons, Discounts, and Scheduled discount. Choose the mechanic that matches the customer journey and timing of the campaign, then review its available configuration.

How should I judge a promotion?

Look beyond redemption counts. Review the associated revenue, discount cost, basket behavior, and repeat usage where available. The most useful measure depends on the campaign’s original commercial purpose.
