Let the recipient make the perfect choice.

Support gifting without requiring the buyer to choose the final product. HEYA includes a dedicated Gift Cards area alongside the catalog, helping your team manage gifting as part of the same commerce operation.

The big picture

Built around the way you sell.

A gift card serves a different purpose from a discount: it lets one person give another the freedom to choose. HEYA places gift-card management in the product area, where your team already works with the catalog. A successful gifting experience also needs clear customer information. Explain how the gift card works in your store, what the recipient should expect, and where they can find help before launching the offer.

A closer look

Gift cards, in detail.

01

Set the label, value, and validity

Each gift-card record has a label, a value entered in USD, and a validity period expressed in days. These fields let your team distinguish gift-card offers and define their face value in one place. Choose clear labels and explain the applicable terms on the storefront so the buyer understands the offer before purchasing. Connect the gift-card destination with seasonal collections, gifting guides, or relevant navigation links.

02

Communicate the terms clearly

Gift-card rules should be understandable before someone pays. Review the configuration available in your store and explain the applicable redemption, validity, and delivery arrangements in customer-facing content. Avoid leaving important details to an assumption made by the buyer. Your support team should use the same wording so the purchase and the later redemption are explained consistently.

03

Keep gift cards separate from gift returns

The backend also lists Gift Return Vouchers, an app for generating printable vouchers that let recipients return gifts. That is a different workflow from purchasing or redeeming a gift card. Present each service under a clear name so a customer understands whether they are buying spending value or receiving a way to return a particular gift purchase.

In practice · illustrative scenario

A gift without guessing a size

A customer shopping for a clothing enthusiast may prefer to give choice rather than select a particular size or style. A clearly explained gift-card offer lets your storefront serve that intention, while the recipient can later choose from the store’s actual catalog.

Good to know

A little more clarity.

Is a gift card a coupon?

No. They serve different purposes. A coupon is a promotion applied according to its eligibility rules; a gift card is part of a gifting and redemption experience. Keep the customer explanation and operational handling distinct.

Are Gift Return Vouchers the same feature?

No. That app supports printable vouchers for returning gifts from orders. Gift Cards has its own backend area. Review and describe the appropriate workflow rather than using the two names interchangeably.
